The HomeOwnership Center is here to guide you through every step with expert counseling, financial education and lending solutions tailored to your goals. For first-time homebuyers this process list will prepare you for the journey ahead, it’s also a great refresher for those that have purchased homes before.
We make the process simple and transparent. Here’s how it works:
Start online with a short intake form so we can learn about your goals.
A quick call will answer questions and walk through what’s needed to prepare for your counseling session.
Upload securely and we’ll confirm when everything is ready.
Within a week, you’ll meet one-on-one with a HUD-certified advisor.
We’ll go over your credit, budget and next steps to get mortgage-ready.
When you’re ready, we’ll connect you with a loan originator to discuss programs and rates.
Before or after shopping for a home, depending on your loan type.
Consider using one of HOC’s Preferred Realtors for a smooth experience.
Choose your mortgage and any down payment assistance options.
We’ll guide you through the final steps that will get you to the closing table.
The day has finally arrived! You are ready to become a homeowner.
Celebrate your new home and financial future.
